Free Birthday Questionnaire Printables

For the last few years I've been doing birthday questionnaires on my family blog. Every year I interview my kids and archive their funny answers. It's a blast to read through them every year and see what my crazy kids say. I thought it would be fun to make more than just a list of questions and actually make something that you can print out and customize with their pictures. Here are a few different questionnaire images. You can add your childs picture(s) and the text to answer each question.

The chevron birthday questionnaires come with spots for 4 pictures and your childs name at the top. The fonts I used at the top of mine are American Typewriter and AL Hurried Note

(download fonts at your own risk. It worked fine for me, but ya never know)

These birthday banner templates have a cute Happy Birthday banner from Miss Tiina. The fonts I used are called My Own Topher, Miama and American Typewriter.
(Again, download fonts at your own risk. )

You can download all of these birthday questionnaires for free!

These files are png's which means they come with holes left for the pictures to be digitally added.  If you don't have a digital picture editing program you can completely customize these questionnaires by using a software like My Memories Suite and add these questionnaires to your blog, facebook, etc.

If you're a little less techy you can of course print these questionnaires off and hand write in your own information and add pictures.

If you'd like to learn a little more about My Memories you can see my post here and even get $10 off if you'd like to order the software today! Just use the code STMMMS70575 and you'll be set to go.

How To Trick Your Children

Hey everyone! So I've been having lots of fun with the new Blogfrog chat feature and have joined in a few online discussions lately. It's been really fun to talk and laugh with other bloggers out there. With the new baby here now, I've cut back a bunch on doing custom orders. So with my extra time, it's been really fun getting to know some of you a little better. In a few weeks I'll host my own live chat here on my blog...but we'll get into that later.

As for today we're trying a new feature.

There is usually some sort of fabulous prize you can win for just giving your advice as well, so that's a fun bonus! Thanks to Blogfrog for making that possible!

Today we're talking about getting your kids to eat healthy. I've taken to the wonderful world of Pinterest and have been searching for some healthy snacks. My best bet to keep my kids eating healthy is to make eating fun.

This is a super easy idea. My kids will eat pretty much anything if I give it to them on a stick or have them eat it with toothpicks.

If you muffin tin it, they will eat. Really. The muffin tin holds magical powers like that. Digital pinky promise.

This would totally get my kids to eat every last bite of their lunch. We're some big Phineas and Ferb fans over here.

So those are just a few of my ideas, now share yours! How do you get your kids to eat healthy food? Let me know below for a chance to win a $500 Mom’s Getaway Spa Day from BlogFrog!

Which colors do you like best?

Last week I said on Facebook how I was in the mood to make some freebies. You voted and told me you want more blog layouts, so now comes the next question...what colors should I use? Below are 2 pictures I found on Pinterest. Sidenote: I'm totally digging Pinterest. If you do too, follow along with me! If you don't know what I'm talking about, go check it out and join me in avoiding any and all household responsibilities.

So anyway, back to colors. These are 2 images I found and loved the colors of. Now I need you to tell me which colors you'd like me to use on these free blog backgrounds and templates. Please leave a comment below telling me if you like #1 or #2 better. You can also go "like" the pictures on my Facebook page to vote as well. Then I'll make some free blog layouts out of the palate you choose...and I'm sure I'll throw in some other free blog goodies as well that match.

Do you follow Leelou Blogs on Facebook? We'll be asking for your input and would love to have you involved. Be sure to "like" us over there so you can tell us what projects you'd like to see next on our blog! You can click here to go to our Facebook page, or click the "Like" button on the sidebar to follow along.

Just For Clicks - Preschool Edition

I've been gathering a hefty list of my favorite things from the internets and seeing as how we're still in September and I'm in school mode, today I'm all things pre-school.

Yesterday was my son Kelson's first day of preschool.
This picture kinda makes me want to cry hormonally imbalanced tears.

Below are some things that I used to help this cute kid become the brilliant 4 year old genius he is today :)  Be sure to share your favorites at the end of this post as well!

Kelson's one true love in life is PBS Kids. They have a fantastic website (and app) with games, activities and printables. Most everything on their site is educational and my favorite part is that kids can navigate the site super easy without help. And I can honestly tell you that Wild Kratts rocks his world.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Another favorite is from Green Jello with Carrots. They have a section called Weesmart School Stuff and there are tons of cheap downloads to help your kiddos learn shapes, numbers, letters, etc. All of my kids have loved playing with their games and activities. They would be excellent tools for moms who homeschool as well.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------

My last great find can be found here. Reading is really important to my husband and I. You can never have enough books! A few of our favorites are Pete's a Pizza and The Pout Pout Fish...read with amazing accents and voices.

KinderCare has some great reading suggestions, hints and advice for different age groups. You can check it out to get tips on fun ideas you can do to get your kids reading.

I’m curious to know: What advice do you have for moms prepping for preschool? KinderCarewill choose one lucky participant and make donation in their name to the Reach Out And Readchapter of their choice!
