Want to digital scrapbook? This is what I recommend

Alright folks. Are you interested in digital scrapbooking? Want to customize my printables or even make your own printables?  If so, I suggest getting My Memories Suite.

I am not endorsed or being paid from My Memories to tell you how much I love them. I get a million emails on the subject and wanted to fill you all in on something awesome. So listen up.

My Memories Suite is a digital scrapbook software that you can do SO MUCH with. It is awesome, easy and cheap. Three things that mean you need it.

I get asked all the time about Photoshop. Photoshop is great, but unless you're going to be doing some intense graphic design or photo editing, I don't really recommend getting it. Yes, you can do amazing things with Photoshop, but it's really expensive and hard to figure out. Like super hard. If you do go the Photoshop route I recommend taking classes to learn how to use it.

My Memories costs about 1/17th the cost of Photoshop ($39.97 for My Memories Suite and $699 for Photoshop) and is seriously so easy to use. It has pretty much every feature you would need and where photoshop would take 10 steps to do something, My Memories does it for you in 1 or 2. I know little kids and grown adults who use it. Super user-friendly. I digitally pinky promise.

There are endless things you can make using My Memories Suite. I know most of you are mainly interested in making digital scrapbook pages and maybe cute things like cards, but there is also a lot more you can make. Invitations, videos, handouts, favors for a party or other event, photo books...the list goes on and on. So if you're not super techy or don't want to put up the cash for an expensive program, My Memories has you covered. And another cool thing is that you can make a project from scratch and design it exactly how you want, or you can use the premade templates and just plug your pictures in.

When I make my monthly desktop backgrounds I make the regular version in a jpeg format. That is a flattened image where everything is one solid element. When I make the custom versions of the desktops I save them as a png. A png is just like a jpeg but it has a transparent hole cut out of it right where you would put your own picture(s). With My Memories Suite you could take my desktop theme, plug in your own picture (even add anything else you'd want) and then save it to your desktop once you have customized it.
My other printables can be customized with your words and pictures too!

I can't bare another email from someone who just spent their life savings on a program that's so hard to figure out. So check out My Memories Suite. You will love love love it.

And I even have a discount for $10 off the software.
Just use the coupon code STMMMS70575 at checkout from MyMemories.com

If you have any questions just leave them in the comment section and I'd love to answer them. I seriously love My Memories and wish I would have known about it a long time ago.

Ok, that is enough praising from me. Go forth and design.

  1. I believe you would just need to purchase the actual disc instead of the instant download.

    1. Hi Maria!! When you download the kit/pack/template files, make sure you double-click them (if you've chosen the Mac or PC option) and they will auto install. You should see them go through the auto-install steps. Once they have completed self-installation you should find them in your software. For background papers, click on the BACKGROUND PAPERS tab on the right-hand side Control Panel, then click on the PURCHASED button. There you will see your Category list, double-click on the category heading your kit will fall under (if you need to know the category, pull up the kit you bought on the MyMemories.com website and refer to the bottom right hand corner of the listing and it will show the category) When you double-click the category heading you will see your kits each listed by name, double-click the name of your kit and you will see each paper listed there. For Embellishments, click on the EMBELLISHMENTS tab (THIS IS WHERE YOUR FACEBOOK COVER SHOULD SHOW UP) on the Control Panel, then click on ADD, you will see a similar Category list, (click the 1-Designer Embellishments category for the things you have purchased) then double-click the correct Category heading and you will see your kits listed by name there, etc. **The Facebook kit you asked about should show up in the EVERYDAY category! :-)

For DESIGNER TEMPLATE kits that you download, click on CREATE FROM DESIGNER TEMPLATE from the New Album Options screen when you are creating a new project and you will see your Designer Templates (the kits that come with pre-designed pages) there listed alphabetically by kit name! Remember you can click on the heading "theme" to reorganize the list to group all your same theme kits together! Kits that have Designer Template pages will have the word "template" in their title on the website! *Page Builder* kits will also be found in this location!

Here's a video tutorial that should take you through the steps!
