New free blogger templates

So on about Feb. 13th blogger changed the coding on their templates and a heap of stress and chaos was spread through blog designers everywhere. No one was able to use any free layouts at all!!! I finally figured out a way around the problem!

If you are new to Leelou and have a Minima layout, when you put in the HTML and click save a few of you will get a message saying it will delete profile2, archive2 and followers2. You can not have 2 profiles, 2 archives or 2 followers on your blog so this is why it wants to delete them. Clicking the save button will not delete anything on your blog! I know it sounds scary to delete something that says archive, but it is just referring to the link on your sidebar. Nothing will be erased from your blog! I pinky promise!!!

If blogger doesn't fix this issue within the next few days, I will go through all of my layouts and change the coding.

Below are some free layouts to shake up your blog. The first two have some slightly custom headers that I thought might be fun. Enjoy!!!

  4. I have been trying to change my background for a few days now. No matter which layout I choose, I get the same error: bX-amagh5. What do you know about this?

  5. Sorry i guess i should have said which error it was. lol I thinkit was the: bX-amagh5 error that someone else commented on. I was trying to use the Chirp or Pinky Pie layouts and was getting the error message with both. Hope that helps. (also i did try changing my layout to the mimosa(or how ever its spelled) first then your layout. But still got the error. That was a few hours ago)

  12. I tried several of your layouts on my blog and each time an error pops up. my blog is www.walledlakeyoungwomen@blogspot.com
    The original Leelou's layout that I used was the "LoveBubbles." I've been using that one for at least a month.
    Now I can't even put LoveBubbles back up since I attempted to put the Chirp, Happy Day, Retro, Tate, and St. Patty's #1 up. Every one of them resulted in an error.
    I've cleared the template to minima and removed the previous HTML code before putting a new one up, still nothing.

  16. I'm trying to use Cydney for my new book blog. It's alredy set in Minima & I clicked the save button after it said I would lose whatever it was. I still got this error.

  21. hi there, i'm changing my background from small hearts to chirp (of course both are beautiful, thanks to u)then i have a problem ie 'about me/my profile isnt there anymore..probably i didnt read the instructions properly...arrgh. how can i add it?

  24. These are terrific! I'm seriously bumming out though - my xml's keep breaking when I try to use your layout (I want the retro one soooo badly) and it keep not letting me use it. :( so now I'm stuck on Minima. Pooh.

  25. woo! I fixed it! For anyone else getting an error message, check if you're doing the same dumb thing I was: if you're using the ctrl A ctrl C Ctrl V shortcuts, the text at the very very bottom that has nothing to do with the html code also gets copied. Yeahhh... feelin pretty dopey right now. Love my new layout, gals! Thanks so much!

  26. Love, love, love the backgrounds. I couldn't wait to change mine to one of yours and when I tried the html code (the entire thing) came up on the side bar, no cute pattern. Can you please, oh please, tell me what I'm doing wrong? (I've used other backgrounds from other websites and added them through the html with no problem.)

    You've got the best backgrounds I've seen and I so want one of yours. How's that for begging?

  31. As I said before, I just love the chirp and retro layouts. I tried installing retro and lost all of the info INSIDE my sidebar gadgets. The gadgets themselves were still there, but anything inside them was gone. I even backed up a full copy of my template and tried to put that back and it was still gone.

    Do you have any idea why this may have happened??

    I have kind of a weird request though. I do some messing around in the digidesign world and I'd like to design my own blog background. And I really love the 3 column look, but I can't get the coding right! I was wondering if you'd ever post the code for just a plain white layout so all we have to do is pop our background in as a gadget.

    Anyway, I thought I'd throw that out there, but in any case, thanks so much for sharing your talent!

  54. Addicted to Retro, it's adorable but a bit dark - still cute though! As a note I live near Nauvoo, down south in Quincy IL.
    Your directions are straightforward and easy to follow, and I think your designs are too cute. Would love to see more paisley (like your current background).

  62. I am in awe of this site - I am so excited about changing mine with either your free templates or your pre-made ones. Quick question (background first)- my blog has two very different areas of focus so I would dearly love those buttons in the header to take people to the correct area of interest - how on earth do I get those? Do I need to talk to you "out of comment area"? I'd like to add other areas of interest, soon.
