I'm so glad you came to check out Leelou's baby shower! Below are lots of posts with LOTS of giveaways! We've been working hard to come up with some really fun things, so scroll down and enter for lots of goodies!!!

The real reason why we wanted this baby shower was to benefit 2 of the sweetest little babies, Mia and Kayleigh.
Mia spent 5 months in the NICU and Kayleigh has been in the NICU for 7 1/2 months so far.
Reading their blogs made such a huge impact on me. What these parents and many other parents out there have gone through is unbelievable. I can't even imagine! And to see these families handle it all so well and really grow from these experiences is amazing!
If you haven't read their blogs please take a few minutes, grab some Kleenex and look at what these sweet babies have gone through.
This baby shower is truly for them. We would like to encourage all of you to make a donation to them and their families by clicking on the link buttons below. Both families have medical bills in the millions and any amount given would help them!!!

In addition to donations, almost all of our giveaway sponsors are also donating the same item they're giving to each of these families. I've had several requests from others as well who would like to donate an item. I know so many of you make and sell things on your blogs or websites. If you would also like to donate to each of the families please email us by clicking here.
We are going to be putting together a care box for each family and would love to have your donation in there as well.
These babies are truly awesome and I hope we can help them in any way!
Thanks so much and good luck with the giveaways!!!
They will all run through Thursday night until 9:00 pm pacific standard time.

What a great cause for 2 sweet babies! Congrats LeeLou on your upcoming arrival!! We are happy to be celebrating with you (although I was bummed to see that NO boys made it to your toddler contest). Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree that it is a good cause :) It is sad to see that there were only white babies that made it into the finalists for the younger category, it saddens me. Also, there were no Latino or Asian babies that even placed, which saddens me more because all races are beautiful not just blondes/whites.
ReplyDeleteLove the contest idea, but I'm wondering why there aren't any boy nominees in the 2-4 category??
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a great contest and that all of the babies are darling, not only the ones that made it but I am sure they are all beautiful children. Thanks Leelou!! You are great!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! What CUTE babies!!! Over 800 entries?? It must have been SO hard for you guys to choose! I know people are probably sad that their kids didn't make it but come on, over 800 kids to choose from? I think you did a great job choosing and I've just voted. You guys ROCK!!!
ReplyDeleteI posted on my blog...yippie!
ReplyDeleteso here is my other entry too. Thanks for this opportunity. This is fun! :o)
ReplyDeleteyou both are amazing! thank you for your contribution to society!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the shower for these babies! Good luck with your new baby, Leelou.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great day to have a shower. It's my baby boy's first birthday!
I just found your blog today, what fun! The kids are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun. thanks for the giveaway! The babies are precious.
ReplyDeletei added a link to my blog, i don't get many people but even if it brings one more person over maybe that will help.
ReplyDeleteI'm the mom to a former 28 weeker, I know too the struggles of having a preemie. My son was in the NICU for over 5 months. Please visit his blog God Gave Me You.
ReplyDeleteAwesome baby shower for those miracle girls!
Congratulations Leelou on your new baby! Your 0-2 years old contest only has cute white kids! Where are all the other races? I am sure you received pictures of babies/toddlers of color since you received SOOO many. Why is this a misrepresentation of the population? It hurts to feel left out of the "cute" winning circle when the population is predominantly of mixed races. I understand that you put in two in the bottom of the 2-4 section but this is not enough, there are ELEVEN white kids for only TWO or THREE mixed race kids. This is not a coincidence. Congratulations anyway, I couldn't help but voice my sadness.
ReplyDeleteActually there are 3 non-Caucasian kids represented in the 2-4 year old category and besides that, I think you do kids a dis-service when you choose them just so other races are represented. That is just exploiting them rather than looking at all kids equally. And by the way, I am a mother of a child who happens to be biracial so please don't accuse me of racism. I would hate my daughter's whole identity to be the fact that she is biracial. She is so much more than that. Thank you Leelou and Coley for being so generous and thoughtful to these 2 families in need. Sometimes you just can't win for losing but know that at least by me, your efforts are appreciated! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteWe feel sad to read negative comments and assumptions about our contest. It's unfortunate to us that some would assume we had negative intensions. Our panel of judges looked over 800 entries and as the contest stated, we simply chose the finalists based on the children and the photograph. We're greatful for all of the positive comments that we've received and are excited to see which cutie wins!
ReplyDeleteAffirmative Action when choosing cute babies? I think I've heard it all *insert eye roll to those who are scolding Lee Lou for not adding more 'diverse' babies*
ReplyDeleteOh Leelou, I am SSOOOO saddened that not ONE red head is on your cutest baby contest!! And also, there are no kids from my lovely state of Mississippi! How could you leave out all the Mississipi kids?? Are MI kids not cute?? And also, I bet all the cute kids are right handed, what's up with that?? Are south paws ugly?? Also, I bet not one of the kids is Irish. How terrible! I think next time you have a contest you should classify all kids according to their race and state of birth and pick just one of each. Even if you receive 700 pictures of kids from California, you should only pick only one. And make sure that half of the winners are left handed.
ReplyDeleteAlso your blue-eye/brown-eye ratio is off by 1/67. And I see that only one of the winners has pierced ears. What's wrong with pierced ears, don't you like them? I think that more of the girls should have pierced ears. At least a 50/50 ratio to make it fair. But if more pierced ears are from pictures you recieved from California, see above statement.
ReplyDeleteactually, there is a lot of racism in the media so it does not surprise me. I love how the only people who commented against this fact are anonymous! I bet you are all hiding.
ReplyDeleteOk seriously, stop arguing on this blog its rude, Leelou is just trying to have a baby.
